August 31st is International Overdose Awareness Day and Purpose Society will commemorate the day by hosting the *World’s Largest Naloxone Training Session.
Here’s how you can support Purpose in this record-breaking event:
1) Share the event across your social media platforms, despite your own views/feelings about addiction and people who use drugs, or if you’ve been trained already
2) Share the Eventbrite registration link with family, friends and colleagues, despite your own views/feelings about addiction and people who use drugs, or if you’ve been trained already
3) Register AND show up, despite your own views/feelings about addiction and people who use drugs, or if you’ve been trained already
4) Volunteer on the day of the event by emailing kristina.selbybrown@purposesociety.org by Aug 23
5) If you have friends in the following industry, PLEASE invite them:

EVENTBRITE REGISTRATION:
What you need to know:
-Training is at Moody Park in New Westminster
-Check-in begins at 8:30am, training is from 9:30-10:30, event wraps-up by noon
-Please come show your support, even if you’ve been trained once, or multiple times
-*Purpose has explored the Guinness World Record site for a record associated with naloxone training and appears there are none. We have submitted the preliminary application to GWR to have the event registered
-We are attempting to set an unofficial “world record’ to bring awareness to the vital role Naloxone plays in the reversal of an opioid OD
